Irish & UAE Tax

Plan the Irish exit and the UAE setup as one project, in the right order.

Irish & UAE Tax in the UAE

Moving to Dubai doesn't switch off your Irish tax on its own. Irish residency runs on day counts, and even after you cease residency, ordinary residence normally follows you for three more tax years. Getting the departure year and that tail planned before you go is the single most valuable thing an Irish leaver can do.

We're straight about the boundary: personal Irish tax advice comes from Irish-qualified advisers, and we work alongside them. What we bring is the whole move in one plan, the timing, the UAE structure, visas, banking and registrations, so the Irish advice lands in a move that's actually built for it.

What we handle

  • Mapping your move against the Irish day-count rules and the three-year tail
  • Sequencing the departure year: what to do before and after you fly
  • Coordinating with Irish-qualified tax advisers on the Irish side
  • The UAE side end to end: structure, registrations and corporate tax
  • How the Ireland–UAE double taxation agreement fits your picture

Who it's for

  • Irish individuals planning the timing of their move
  • Founders selling or restructuring an Irish business before they go
  • Anyone with Irish property, pensions or investments to consider

Common questions

Do I still pay Irish tax after moving to Dubai?

It depends on what you keep and how you leave. Ceasing Irish tax residency is a day-count question, but ordinary residence usually continues for three more tax years, and while it lasts an Irish-domiciled leaver can stay within the Irish net on some income, with exceptions for employment earned wholly abroad. Irish property stays Irish-taxable regardless. Planned properly, most leavers land well; the point is to plan it.

Is this regulated advice?

No. This site is general guidance. Personal Irish tax advice is a matter for Irish-qualified advisers, and where your case needs it, that's who we'll put alongside you.
